NASA summer internships available

UIC’s NASA MIRO Center for In-Space Manufacturing: Recycling and Regolith Processing (CISM-R2) is accepting applications for NASA summer 2026 internship positions. The deadline to apply is Jan. 19.

The 10-week paid internship program provides undergraduate and graduate students with the opportunity to directly contribute to NASA’s mission of advancing science, technology, aeronautics, and space exploration. Students will participate in hands-on research projects while working closely with experienced scientists, engineers, and other professionals across multidisciplinary fields.

Students from mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, civil engineering, materials science and engineering, computer science, computer engineering, and other closely related STEM disciplines are strongly encouraged to apply.

Requirements

1) U.S. citizens
2) A minimum GPA of 3.0
3) Available for a 10-week, in-person summer internship.
