11:00 AM - 12:00 PM America/Chicago

Location

ERF 1047

Address

842 W. Taylor St., Chicago, IL 60607

Presenter: Kristyn Caragher, PhD, University of Illinois Chicago

Abstract: In this session, we will go over the differences between IEEE, an engineering research database, and Web of Science, the largest citation database in science, engineering, medicine, and technology, with a focus on conducting literature reviews. Students will practice developing a complex search strategy from an example topic and then will develop their own based on their own individual research interests. Please come to class with a research question or topic prepared ahead of time and a laptop so you can participate.
