CME library dedication to Dr. Robert Bryant

On November 11, 2009, the CME department dedicated its library to Dr. Robert H. Bryant. Dr. Bryant, a great teacher, an honorable and respected professor in the discipline of structural engineering, and a great attribute to the CME department, joined the Department in 1963 and retired in 1999.

After his retirement, Dr. Bryant continued to contribute to the Department in many ways by teaching key structural related courses, established linkage with the industry through the formation of the Civil Engineering Professional Advisory Council (CEPAC), and shared his academic and professional experiences with the student and faculty. The library was dedicated to honor Professor Bryant’s devotion to the CME Department and the students. Those in attendance included Professor Bryant and his spouse, Ellen, daughters, Mary Ellen and Anita, son, Robert G., son in law, John, engineering faculty, staff, and students.
