Derrible brings his new book to Green Sense Show

UIC Professor Sybil Derrible

UIC Professor Sybil Derrible recently joined Robert Colangelo, host of the Green Sense Show, to discuss his new book called “The Infrastructure Book: How Cities Work and Power Our Lives.”

During the interview, Derrible discusses the infrastructure that makes up our world and explains in simple terms how it works. He also offers a deep dive into how urban renewal can be technical and sustainable.

Derrible is the director of the Complex and Sustainable Urban Networks (CSUN) Laboratory at UIC. His mission is to advance scientific knowledge and create software for the design of smart, sustainable, and resilient cities.

The Green Sense Show features innovators shaping a sustainable future. Colangelo invites scientists, business leaders, activists, and entrepreneurs to discuss the daily economic, environmental, and social challenges that require sustainable solutions. He also presents the Green Sense Minute weekly on Thursdays and Saturdays on WBBM News Radio in Chicago.
