Professor Mohsen Issa named fellow of SEI
CME Professor Mohsen Issa was recently selected as the Fellow of the Structural Engineering Institute (SEI) of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). He is one of only 14 people to receive the honor in 2023.
The SEI works to improve every aspect of the structural engineering profession.
The fellow grade of membership recognizes accomplished SEI members as leaders and mentors in the structural engineering profession.
Issa is the director of the Structural and Concrete Materials Research Laboratory is committed to conducting state-of-the-research on civil engineering structures and concrete materials at UIC.
He also is a fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers, 2007, and the American Concrete Institute International, 1999.
